Our Services
Cutting & Coring
We are fully equipped & highly trained to handle all of your cutting needs such as road sawing up to 350mm deep, using diesel, petrol, hydraulic & fume less high frequency hand sawing up to 260mm deep & concrete chain saw cutting 400mm deep. we also provide early entry, same day control joint cutting (soff cut).
Our highly experienced team can accommodate your project, whether big or small, and will provide consistently high results, every time coring holes in concrete, brickwork, rock, etc, from 12mm up to 650mm diameter to depth required using electric or hydraulic drill motors.our techniques are fast and accurate.
Grinding and Polishing
Grinding methods of concrete grinding and polishing used by Mildura concrete cutting and coring are light, medium and heavy grind depending upon the level of aggregate exposure needed and the previous mix history of the floor.
The level of concrete polishing of course depends on the use of the floor. For example ware house floors need a different type of polishing compared to a retail showroom.
Repairing
Concrete by its very basic nature is strong in compression and weak in tension. So cracks perpendicular to the direction of the tension will appear. Concrete damage might occur due to corrosion of reinforcing steel rebars. These steel rebars are protected inside concrete since the concrete is alkaline and prevents rust but if chloride ions are present perhaps from seepage in cracks it might cause corrosion. Blisters caused by bubbled concrete surfaces by prematurely finishing and sealing in air and bleeding water. Alkali aggregate reaction might cause concrete damage. Plastic shrinkage cracks or drying shrinkage cracks and cracks from structural loads can indicate a structural problems and should be addressed quickly. The other forms of concrete damage can be caused by thermal cracks, physical damage due to heavy traffic conditions or dumping of high load material, chemical damage or erosion by fast flowing water.
Pouring
Once the concrete is poured and screeded the first float or the concrete finishing begins. The surface is worked with a float and edger. The bull float takes out the ripples and imperfections left by screeding. Getting rid of the excess water that might bleed to the surface if the concrete was wet to start with is important. The time gap between finishing the bullfloat and starting the final steel float varies from job to job and we at Mildura know exactly to do that. A retarder solution can also be sprayed on the surface and a nice stiff bristle concrete broom to work over the surface will give a perfect finish.
Mildura concrete cutting and coring specialists have been at this concrete pouring and finishing business for a long time and they know how to get the job done. Since concrete is highly alkaline proper safety measures and trained craftsmen are needed to get the job done without suffering any personal injury. People trained with proper usage of tools and safety equipment are needed to handle concrete pouring and finishing to avoid chemical burns and skin damage
